Not sure when's the next time I'll return to Melbourne. The 50-200 SWD will feel a bit front heavy on your 620, so a larger body such as the E-5, E-3 or E-30 is recommended. Hope you'll have fun with the 50-200.

cheers,

Brandonbrandonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12264958880460342679noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19833874.post-8636482671099705062011-03-21T21:04:47.963+11:002011-03-21T21:04:47.963+11:00Brandon, This is the most informative review I hav...Brandon, This is the most informative review I have ever seen and you have given it so simple that any beginner to pro would understand.
By the way, I live in Melbourne and am thinking to take some photography lessons on my OLY E620. Also planning to buy 50-200 SWD after reading your review.

Can you please let me know if we can catch up for a drink and discuss a bit more?

rainsoft.001@gmail.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19833874.post-80091002236720114632011-02-07T11:40:42.485+11:002011-02-07T11:40:42.485+11:00By far the most informative review I've found ...By far the most informative review I've found on the net. I agree with you that Olympus should have posted a very detailed report of this lens with multiple photos of its capabilities. I recently purchased the E-5 and currently use the 14-54 2.8-3.5 II and the 70-300. I had already pretty much decided to add the 50-200 and your review has finalized my decision. The info you reported on the 1.4 and 2.0 extenders have also given me answers I had regarding their use. Thanks again for an excellent review.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19833874.post-77661546819391471952010-09-14T11:56:52.538+10:002010-09-14T11:56:52.538+10:00excellent review.. simple, yet detailed enough to ...excellent review.. simple, yet detailed enough to put a lock on the sale of one of these beauties... will be picking one up soon.michaelnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19833874.post-9880855499204723212010-01-18T00:32:33.010+11:002010-01-18T00:32:33.010+11:00Thanks Brandon! Despite being as good as it is, Olympus has still long to go regarding the accuracy of its autofocus department. Who cares if its the 'world's fastest autofocus' if its inaccurate for tracking erratic subjects and its only capped at 5fps instead of the industry standard 10fps?brandonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12264958880460342679noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19833874.post-27786867507324386412010-01-16T02:55:50.550+11:002010-01-16T02:55:50.550+11:00I am toying with an idea of purchasing SWD 50-200 ...I am toying with an idea of purchasing SWD 50-200 + EC 20 and I own E-620.
