Dinner at Stalactites

Last Wednesday, I went to Stalactites with some friends for dinner. Its located at the corner of Russell and Lonsdale St. They serve good food, and the prices are reasonable.

They've tried to emulate a cave-like interior inside the restaurant, hence its name, stalactites.

Hungry stomaches waiting to be filled.

Greek salad - $6/-
A delightful salad containing lettuce, cucumber, tomato, onion, carrot, fetta cheese & kalamata olives sprinkled with oregano and olive oil.

Calamari $26.50 (large)
The squid is sliced, lightly floured and fried. I was hoping that the portions for this dish would be more generous for its price.

This is the highlight of the dinner - mixed giro platter which has marinated spring lamb and chicken. $ 26.50 (large)

Good food & good company make an enjoyable meal.

For those interested, these are their details:
177 - 183 Lonsdale St
Tel: (03) 9663-3316
Website: http://www.stalactites.com.au

Bookings are recommended. The whole place was packed when I was there.
